Washington Village Web Site Facelift

After two and a half years of operation, the Washington Village Web Site has had a major facelift. The new format should make it easier to find topics of interest to visitors and a new tool, the 'Site Search' will allow you to search the site for a key word in much the same way as an external search engine will search the web for a key word.

Family Search

It is a sad fact - but true - that there is more interest in this site from outside the village than there is from within the village - a situation that I would like to alter with your assistance! BUT I need input from 'the locals' so if you have something to say or a hobby or interest to write about, contact the editor for possible publication.

In the meantime, in answer to the various emails that I have had from people tracing their family trees, I have opened the 'Family Search' page where I shall be publishing requests for information. If you feel you can help with any of these enquiries, please reply to the people who have posted the query or send me an email and I'll do the rest.

Showcases

There are only two showcases featured on the site at the moment and one of them is mine! This is a great pity as there must be many of you out there with an interesting hobby or possession and we want to hear about you. Why not have a page on the web site just for you? Its easy, send me some information about your interest and I'll do the rest for you and you too could be featured on the web for all to see!
